**Madurai, Tamil Nadu, December 21, 2024** – The Agro Food Chamber of Commerce and Industry has officially changed its name to the Agri & All Trade Chamber of Commerce, expanding its scope to encompass a broader range of businesses beyond agriculture. The announcement was made Saturday at a meeting where a new export initiative, “You Export” (YE), was also launched.
Founded in 2010 to serve farmers in southern Tamil Nadu, the Chamber has seen significant growth, attracting non-farm businesses and prompting the name change. The new name reflects this expanded membership, which now includes traders, service providers, MSMEs, startups, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The newly launched YE platform, chaired by successful exporter K. Thiruppathi Rajan, aims to guide aspiring exporters. Rajan emphasized that prior export experience is not required, only a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. He shared his personal experiences exporting to over 100 countries, highlighting the challenges and successes.
C. Karthikeya Prabhu of Krishya Logistics, the chief guest, voiced his support for YE and highlighted the importance of exports to India’s economic growth, particularly in light of government investments in port infrastructure. He encouraged young people to pursue opportunities in the export sector.
