Fri Dec 20 19:40:00 UTC 2024: ## “The Talk” Bids Farewell: Final Episodes Focus on Current Hosts, Loyal Fans

**Los Angeles, CA** – After 15 seasons and nearly 3,000 episodes, CBS’s daytime talk show *The Talk* will air its final episode on December 20th. Instead of a retrospective featuring all past hosts, the final week’s focus is on the current panel: Akbar Gbajabiamila, Amanda Kloots, Natalie Morales, Jerry O’Connell, and Sheryl Underwood.

Executive Producer Rob Crabbe explained that the decision to center the finale on the current hosts stems from a desire to celebrate their camaraderie and on-screen dynamic, which he considers the show’s core. Each host is being featured in a daily retrospective, culminating in Sheryl Underwood’s tribute on Friday. While past hosts will be acknowledged in a montage, the emphasis remains on the current lineup.

Friday’s finale will feature Howie Mandel, a friend of the show, presenting fan-chosen superlatives to the hosts. Instead of celebrity guests, the audience will consist of dedicated, long-time viewers, reflecting the show’s loyal fanbase. Crabbe highlighted the show’s remarkable audience loyalty, noting that many have attended multiple tapings over the years and have become integral to the *Talk* experience.

Following *The Talk*’s conclusion, CBS will air reruns of *The Price Is Right* for two months before premiering its new daytime soap opera, *Beyond the Gates*, on February 24th.
