**Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh –** A 32-year-old ASHA worker in Rajgarh district, Madhya Pradesh, has accused her husband, in-laws, and a neighbor of branding her with a hot utensil and sexually assaulting her. Police have registered a case and are searching for the five accused, who are currently absconding.
The incident allegedly occurred on December 13th. The woman filed a complaint on December 15th at a police station in Guna district, where her parents reside. The case was then transferred to the Karanwas police station in Rajgarh.
According to police, the neighbor initially entered the woman’s home with the intent to molest her. Her sister-in-law then called other family members, who subsequently beat and assaulted her, accusing her of misconduct. The woman sustained grievous injuries from the physical abuse inflicted by her husband and in-laws.
Charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) have been filed against the husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, and the neighbor. The police are actively pursuing their arrest.
