The Directorate of Education (DoE) announced the deadline for registration forms on November 12th. Principals from several leading schools confirmed a substantial rise in applications this year. Gitarattan Global School also saw a strong response with around 1,000 registrations.

The first general admission lists are scheduled for release on January 17, 2025. Schools are mandated to reserve 25% of their seats for children from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Disadvantaged Groups (DG), and children with disabilities. Separate admission lists for these categories will be released according to DoE guidelines. Schools must upload details of all selected applicants by January 1, 2025.

The DoE has specified age limits: children must be at least three years old for nursery (under four), four years for KG (under five), and five years for Class 1 (under six) as of March 31, 2025.

A second admission list, along with allocated marks, will be released on February 3, 2025, with additional lists, if needed, following on February 26th. Parents can address queries with school heads regarding the first list (January 18-27) and the second list (February 5-11). The entire admission process, including query resolution and mark allocation, will conclude on February 14, 2025.
