**Rewa, Madhya Pradesh:** Rewa police are investigating a disturbing incident captured on a viral video showing a young couple being threatened, extorted, and assaulted by a group of people. The video, which has sparked outrage, depicts the couple in a secluded area, possibly near Purva or Kyoti Falls, being accosted and forced to hand over money. The woman is also subjected to molestation.
Police are currently searching for the victims, appealing to them to come forward with assurances of confidentiality. Superintendent of Police (SP) Rewa stated that once identified, the perpetrators will face strict legal action. Teams from multiple police stations are actively investigating and gathering information to locate both the victims and the accused.
This incident follows a similar October case where a couple was attacked near a temple, with the husband tied up while the wife was gang-raped and the assault filmed. The assailants in that case also threatened to release the video online if the victims reported the crime. The police are urging anyone with information regarding either incident to come forward.
