**Bengaluru, India** – Bajaj Auto has launched its highly anticipated 2025 Chetak 35 series electric scooter in India. The updated model, built on a new platform, boasts significant improvements and features designed to make it a strong contender in the rapidly growing electric scooter market.
The 2025 Chetak 35 series is available in three variants: the 3501, 3502, and 3503. The 3501 variant is priced at ₹1.27 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru), while the mid-tier 3502 variant is priced at ₹1.20 lakh. Pricing for the 3503 variant will be announced later.
Key improvements include a new 3.5 kWh battery offering a range of 153 km and a fast 0-80% charge time of just 3 hours thanks to a 950-watt onboard charger. The scooter retains its retro-inspired design with subtle styling updates and new color options. The premium 3501 variant features a digital TFT touchscreen dashboard with smartphone connectivity, music controls, integrated maps, geofencing, and other smart features. Ergonomics have also been improved with an 80mm longer seat and 25mm wider footboard. Power comes from a 4.2 kW (5.6 bhp) electric motor, enabling a top speed of 73 km/h. Riding modes include Eco and Sport. The scooter also boasts a robust steel monocoque body shell and a 35-liter under-seat storage compartment.
Bookings are now open online and at Bajaj dealerships. Deliveries for the 3501 variant are expected to begin at the end of December 2024, with the 3502 variant following in January 2025.
