Fri Dec 20 01:38:00 UTC 2024: ## Maharashtra CM Fadnavis Announces 24/7 Governance Shift with Deputies
**Nagpur, Maharashtra:** Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a round-the-clock governance strategy, dividing responsibilities with his two deputies, Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde. Speaking in the state legislative assembly, Fadnavis outlined a shift system: Ajit Pawar will handle the morning hours, Fadnavis will work from noon to midnight, and Shinde will cover the night shift.
This innovative approach comes after Ajit Pawar’s recent swearing-in as Deputy Chief Minister for the sixth time. Fadnavis playfully acknowledged Pawar’s ambition, referring to him as the “permanent Deputy CM” and expressing hopes for his future as Chief Minister. Pawar’s faction of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), after a dramatic split from Sharad Pawar’s leadership, secured both the party’s name and symbol. The recent assembly elections saw the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, including Pawar’s NCP faction and the Shiv Sena, win a resounding victory with over 230 seats, compared to the MVA’s 46. This follows the NCP’s surprising comeback after a poor showing in the Lok Sabha elections.
