**MUMBAI** – Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa: The Rule* continues its box office dominance, surpassing ₹990 crore in just 15 days of its theatrical run in India. The film enjoyed a phenomenal opening, raking in ₹175.9 crore on its first day and accumulating ₹725.8 crore in its first week alone. Its second week added another ₹264.9 crore to its impressive total.
The film’s success is widespread, with its Hindi version contributing ₹621.6 crore, and the Telugu version adding ₹295.6 crore. Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions collectively contributed ₹52.4 crore, ₹13.97 crore, and ₹7.13 crore respectively, according to film trade portal Sacnilk.
However, the film’s reign may face some challenges. The release of *Mufasa: The Lion King* on December 20th is expected to impact *Pushpa 2*’s screen time. While advance bookings for *Mufasa* are reported as decent, driven by the star power of Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan’s voiceovers, *Pushpa 2* is also seeing strong Telugu premiere bookings thanks to Mahesh Babu voicing Mufasa. The Christmas period is expected to benefit both films.
Reports indicate that *Pushpa 2*’s show timings have been reduced in multiplexes due to the arrival of both *Mufasa: The Lion King* and *Baby John*. Despite this competition, *Pushpa 2*’s exceptional performance solidifies its position as a major box office hit.
