Sony Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for “Karate Kid: Legends,” the latest installment in the iconic martial arts franchise, hitting theaters May 30th. This new chapter reunites Ralph Macchio (reprising his role as Daniel LaRusso) and Jackie Chan (returning as Mr. Han) as they mentor a new generation of martial artists.

Ben Wang, star of “American Born Chinese,” takes center stage as Li Fong, the latest protégé to learn from the legendary duo. Wang, selected after a worldwide search, impressed with his diverse martial arts background, including karate, kung fu, and taekwondo. “I was the target audience when the original movie came out,” Wang shared in an interview, expressing his excitement at joining the franchise.

The film also stars Ming-Na Wen as Li Fong’s mother, alongside Joshua Jackson and Sadie Stanley in supporting roles. Jonathan Entwistle, known for his work on Netflix’s “I Am Not Okay With This,” directs, with a screenplay by Rob Lieber (“Peter Rabbit”).
