**Vadodara, India –** India secured a resounding 60-run victory over the West Indies in the third and final women’s T20I on Thursday, claiming the series 2-1. This marks India’s first home T20I series win since October 2019. The match was highlighted by record-breaking performances from Richa Ghosh and Smriti Mandhana.
Ghosh smashed a 21-ball 54, equalling the world record for the fastest fifty in women’s T20Is (18 balls). Her explosive innings, featuring five sixes and three fours, propelled India to their highest ever T20I total of 217/4. Mandhana also contributed significantly, scoring a graceful 77 runs, her highest score of the series, which included 13 fours and a six, and solidifying her position as the leading run-scorer in women’s T20Is this year with 763 runs. Other notable contributions came from Jemimah Rodrigues (39) and Raghavi Bisht (31*).
The West Indies, facing a challenging target, struggled against India’s bowling attack. Radha Yadav spearheaded the bowling effort, claiming four wickets for 29 runs. Despite a late flourish from Chinelle Henry (43 off 16 balls), the West Indies were bowled out for 157/9.
