**NEW DELHI –** Two Delhi schools, Manava Bhawna Public School in Burari and Sat Saheb Public School in Uttam Nagar, are facing police action after submitting forged land documents to obtain Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) affiliation.
CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta revealed on Tuesday that during the board’s rigorous document verification process, discrepancies were uncovered in the land certificates submitted by both schools. Upon contacting the issuing authorities, the board confirmed that the certificates were fraudulent.
Gupta stated that the CBSE’s standard procedure involves a thorough scrutiny of all documents, including verification with issuing authorities to ensure authenticity. The board has now filed a police complaint against the schools, seeking legal action for submitting forged documents. The investigation is underway.
