**Navi Mumbai:** The West Indies Women’s cricket team secured a resounding victory over India Women in the second T20I match held today at Navi Mumbai. Chasing a 160-run target, the West Indies achieved the win with 9 wickets in hand, reaching the target in just 15.4 overs.
India, batting first, managed 159/9, with Smriti Mandhana top-scoring with a half-century (62). Richa Ghosh (32), Deepti Sharma (17), and Jemimah Rodrigues (13) provided some support, but other batters failed to contribute significantly. West Indies bowlers Hayley Matthews, Chinelle Henry, Deandra Dottin, and Afy Fletcher each claimed two wickets.
In reply, Hayley Matthews led the West Indies charge with an unbeaten 85 off 47 balls, smashing 17 fours. Kiana Joseph (38) and Shemaine Campbelle (29*) also played crucial roles in the commanding victory. Only Simran Thakur managed a single wicket for India.
The series is now tied 1-1, with the decisive third T20I scheduled for Thursday.
