**Navi Mumbai, December 17, 2024:** The Indian women’s cricket team suffered a disappointing 9-wicket defeat against the West Indies in the second T20I of their series, leveling the series at 1-1. The decisive third match is scheduled for December 19th.
Batting first at the DY Patil Stadium, India managed 159/9 in their 20 overs. Smriti Mandhana top-scored with a 62-run knock (41 balls, 9 fours, 1 six), while Richa Ghosh contributed a quick 32 (17 balls, 6 fours). However, no other batter managed to reach 20 runs, leaving India’s innings vulnerable. Chinelle Henry, Deandra Dottin, Hayley Matthews, and Afy Fletcher each claimed two wickets for the West Indies.
