Tue Dec 17 18:48:31 UTC 2024: ## FIFA to Announce Best Football Awards in Doha

**Doha, Qatar** – FIFA will announce the winners of the 2024 Best FIFA Football Awards on Tuesday, December 27th, in a special ceremony broadcast live from Doha, Qatar. The awards celebrate the best male and female footballers at both club and international levels.

The men’s category features a strong list of nominees, including Ballon d’Or winner Rodri and Vinicius Junior, who notably boycotted the October ceremony feeling overlooked. Vinicius Junior, a key player for Real Madrid in their Champions League, Spanish Super Cup, and La Liga victories, is considered a favorite. However, his absence from the awards ceremony follows Real Madrid’s failure to produce a Ballon d’Or winner.

In the women’s category, Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati is a strong contender after leading her club to a historic quadruple and helping Spain secure the Nations League. However, two-time winner Alexia Putellas is notably absent from the nominations.

This year’s awards will include the FIFA Puskas Award for the best men’s goal and a newly created FIFA Marta Award, named after the Brazilian legend, for the best women’s goal globally.

The ceremony will begin at 10:30 PM at the Aspire Academy in Doha and will be streamed live on FIFA.com. A list of nominees for various awards includes:

**Men’s Awards:** Several Real Madrid players (Vinicius Junior, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham, Toni Kroos), along with players from Manchester City (Erling Haaland, Rodri, Ederson), Paris Saint-Germain (Kylian Mbappé, Gianluigi Donnarumma), and many others.

**Women’s Awards:** Aitana Bonmati (Barcelona) leads a field including players from Barcelona, Manchester City, and various other clubs across the globe.
