**CHENNAI, December 18, 2024** – A car accident in Velachery on Tuesday left one person critically injured and three others with minor injuries. The driver, S. Pragadeesh, an employee of a private company subcontracted to the Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB), lost control of his vehicle on 100 Feet Road around 12:50 p.m.
The car collided with a pushcart, an autorickshaw, a two-wheeler, and a pedestrian. Sixty-five-year-old pushcart vendor S. Narayanasamy sustained severe injuries and was hospitalized at Government Royapettah Hospital along with the other victims. Police arrested Pragadeesh, who was driving towards S. Kolathur at the time of the accident. The Traffic Investigation Police, Guindy, are investigating the incident.
