**Puducherry, December 17, 2024** – The body of a 16-year-old boy, Leo Adithiyan, was recovered on Tuesday after he drowned in the Sankarabarani River near Sellipet. Adithiyan and a friend, Antony, were bathing near a dam on Sunday when heavy rainfall and dam releases caused strong currents, sweeping them away. While Antony was rescued by local residents, Adithiyan was tragically lost. Police reported that Adithiyan was a Plus One student at a private school in Reddiayarpalayam.
