**Secunderabad, December 17, 2024** – A wreath-laying ceremony was held at the Veerula Sainik Smarak in Secunderabad on Monday to mark Vijay Diwas, the anniversary of India’s victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan. The ceremony honored the soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the conflict that led to the liberation of Bangladesh.
Veterans, students from Army Public Schools, soldiers, and senior armed forces officers participated in the event, paying tribute with flowers and wreaths at the War Memorial. Air Vice Marshal P.S. Wadodkar, Commandant of the College of Air Warfare, served as the chief guest. Vijay Diwas is observed annually on December 16th.
