**ST. JOHN’S, Antigua –** Cricket West Indies (CWI) has named its squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Bangladesh, taking place December 15-19 at Arnos Vale Stadium in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The series marks the end of West Indies’ home season and features the return of veteran Johnson Charles from injury.
A notable inclusion is Keacy Carty, who receives his first T20I call-up after a strong Caribbean Premier League performance. He will bolster the middle order. Rovman Powell will captain the side, with Brandon King as vice-captain.
Head Coach Daren Sammy highlighted the importance of Carty’s addition, emphasizing the need for batting depth. The absence of Shai Hope and Sherfane Rutherford, due to Big Bash League commitments, and Akeal Hosein (missing the final match for the same reason), will be covered by squad depth. Jayden Seales will replace Hosein for the final game.
Sammy stated the team’s focus is on building towards the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup while aiming for a strong finish to the year, especially for fans in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
