**HYDERABAD, INDIA (December 15, 2024)** – Global tech firm New Relic has significantly expanded its presence in India with the opening of a new 500-seat office in Hyderabad. This new Innovation Centre brings India on par with the company’s U.S. and European innovation hubs, reflecting the country’s growing importance as a tech talent pool and market.
The San Francisco-based company, a leader in intelligent observability platforms, now employs 700 people in India, a sevenfold increase from March. This includes the 500 employees based in the new Hyderabad facility and an additional 300 in Bengaluru. New Relic’s CEO, Ashan Willy, highlighted India’s advanced digital native businesses and robust software export sector as key drivers for this expansion. He noted that India is a significant market, contributing to the company’s global revenue, which is in the billions, with approximately half coming from North America and the remainder split between Asia and Europe.
The company’s strategic partnership with T-Hub, a leading startup incubator, marks New Relic as the first observability vendor to collaborate with the organization. This partnership will provide support and mentorship to the local startup ecosystem. The new Hyderabad office is expected to be fully staffed, leveraging local talent to create products for both domestic and global markets.
