**Sydney, NSW –** Sydney Thunder have finalised their squad for the upcoming Big Bash League (BBL|14) season, announcing Blake Nikitaras as a replacement for Nic Maddinson, who has been ruled out due to a significant finger injury requiring surgery.

Maddinson’s absence is a blow to the Thunder, but General Manager Trent Copeland expressed confidence in Nikitaras’ ability to fill the void. “Losing Nic is a tough blow,” Copeland stated. “He’s a quality player. However, we’re excited to have Blake join us. He’s a hard-working player who has shown great potential.”

Nikitaras, a talented batter with previous BBL experience for the Thunder, adds depth to the batting lineup. His inclusion completes the Thunder’s squad for the tournament.
