**Hyderabad, December 16, 2024** – Telangana’s Transmission Corporation (TG-Transco) has been recognized for its excellence in power grid management. The State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC) received the prestigious LDC Excellence Award for being the best among large SLDCs in India at a national power system conference held at IIT Indore.

TG-Transco CMD D. Krishna Bhaskar accepted the award on Saturday from Central Electricity Authority Chairperson Ghan Shyam Prasad and Grid India CMD S.R. Narasimhan. The award recognizes the SLDC’s success in maintaining grid discipline.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Principal Secretary (Energy) S.K. Sultania congratulated TG-Transco on this achievement, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the state’s power utilities. The SLDC competed against counterparts in Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

In related news, Singareni Collieries Company Ltd (SCCL) will receive the Enertia Foundation award on December 20th in Visakhapatnam. This award acknowledges SCCL’s commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable mining practices, including renewable energy adoption.
