**KOCHI, December 16, 2024** – The fifth annual Kochi Navy Marathon, held on December 15th, attracted over 5,000 participants, including defense personnel and civilians. The event, organized by the Southern Naval Command, featured three races: a 21km Venduruthy Run, a 10km Dronacharya Run, and a 5km Garuda Run, all starting at the Sagarika International Cruise Terminal.
Top finishers in the 21km open category were Mohammed Sabeel (first), Collins Kipkrui Sang (second), and Gilbert Kipkosgei (third), with Somya of the Indian Navy winning the women’s division. Ajith K. took first place in the 10km open category, followed by Hemanth Kumar (Indian Navy) and Subhashis Manna (Indian Army). Jincy G. won the women’s 10km race. The event was flagged off by senior naval officers.
