**Kozhikode, December 16, 2024** – The 13th International Conference on Precision, Meso, Micro, and Nano Engineering (COPEN13) concluded on Sunday at the National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT-C) after three days of presentations and discussions. The conference featured 15 invited talks, over 30 technical sessions, panel discussions, and workshops.
Participants, including faculty and professionals from prestigious institutions such as STIMS Institute (San Jose), IIT Bombay, IIT Madras, and IIT Hyderabad, highlighted the importance of collaborative research between academia and industry. A key takeaway emphasized the need to focus on both manufacturing and technology readiness levels to ensure impactful research outcomes.
The conference also included eight keynote sessions and a presentation by a research team led by S. Unnikrishnan Nair, Director of the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, which addressed the challenges of space manufacturing, particularly in relation to India’s Gaganyaan mission.
