**Patna, Bihar –** The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced a revised schedule for the counselling process of its Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE 3.0), delaying it from December 9-31 to December 20, 2024, to January 7, 2025. A total of 106,617 candidates qualified, including 5,971 headmasters and teachers for classes 1-12. Counselling will be conducted in stages, starting with headmasters on December 20-21, followed by other teachers, and concluding with those who passed the second competency exam on January 7.

Separately, the BPSC is investigating serious allegations of malpractice during the 70th Combined Preliminary Examination held at the Bapu Campus Examination Centre. Candidates reported irregularities including tampered exam seals, delayed question paper distribution, and potential leaks, with some even claiming to have received an open question paper. Following a walkout by some candidates, an FIR has been filed against 50-60 unidentified individuals for disrupting the exam. The BPSC is taking these allegations very seriously and a full investigation is underway.
