HYDERABAD, INDIA – December 15, 2024 – Nikhil emerged victorious in the highly anticipated finale of Bigg Boss Telugu Season 8 on Sunday night. Global star Ram Charan announced the winner during a spectacular grand finale episode broadcast on Star Maa. Gautam Krishna secured the runner-up position.
The 105-day reality show concluded with a thrilling finale, featuring a total of 22 contestants. Initially, 14 contestants entered the house, followed by 8 wildcard entries five weeks later. The final five – Nikhil, Gautam, Prerana, Nabeel, and Avinash – competed for the ₹55 lakh prize money. Prerana, Nabeel, and Avinash were eliminated before the final announcement.
The finale featured special appearances by Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier, who helped eliminate Nabeel. Prerana reportedly earned ₹30 lakh during her participation, receiving ₹2 lakh per week. Avinash also reportedly received a weekly payment of ₹2 lakh.
The grand finale was attended by a large audience and also showcased a special performance featuring a wedding dance from the movie *Devara*. Heavy security was in place at Annapurna Studios to prevent a repeat of previous season’s post-finale disturbances. The winner and runner-up remained at the studios until after 3 AM before being allowed to leave.
