**Jaunpur, UP** – The criminal maintenance case against Atul Subhash has been closed following his death, his lawyer Awadhesh Tiwari confirmed. The matter of recovering maintenance from Atul’s assets is now moot, as his son, who will inherit the property, cannot recover from himself. The case was solely against Atul. Meanwhile, Atul’s brother has petitioned the Supreme Court for a committee to investigate the matter, demanding stringent action against those involved in the crime. Separately, Atul Subhash’s father has appealed to Prime Minister Modi for the arrest of those responsible for his son’s death following the arrests of some accused.
