Meanwhile, the Congress, having declared 21 candidates, will field Sandeep Dikshit against Kejriwal in the same constituency. Kejriwal has reiterated his refusal to ally with the Congress, despite both parties’ membership in the INDIA bloc.
The upcoming elections, scheduled for February, will be crucial for AAP, seeking a third consecutive term, and will serve as a test of its governance model and public appeal. In the 2020 elections, AAP won a resounding victory, securing 62 out of 70 seats.
