**NEW DELHI** – The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced today that it will refund examination fees to all applicants for the Diploma in Pharmacy Exit Examination (DPEE) scheduled for October 5th and 6th, 2024. The board has indefinitely postponed the exam.

The refund will be processed to the original payment source, and all submitted applications will be considered null and void. This decision follows a postponement of the DPEE, which is a mandatory exam for registration as a pharmacist under Section 33 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948. The exam is designed to ensure that applicants have completed the required pharmacy education and practical training. Successful completion of the DPEE, along with fulfilling other conditions outlined in Section 32(2) of the Pharmacy Act, 1948, is necessary for registration.
