**Hyderabad, December [Date]** – A letter contradicting the Hyderabad police’s account of the stampede outside Sandhya 70 MM Theatre has emerged, casting doubt on the arrest of actor Allu Arjun. Arjun was taken into custody on Friday and charged with culpable homicide not amounting to murder following the December 4th incident, which resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and injuries to her child.

Police initially stated that neither Arjun’s team nor the theatre management informed them of his presence at the premiere of his film, *Pushpa 2: The Rule*. They attributed the stampede to the unexpected surge in crowds caused by the actor’s appearance, citing a lack of adequate security arrangements and separate entry/exit points.

However, a December 2nd letter from Sandhya Theatre management to the Chikkadpally police station directly contradicts this. The letter explicitly requests police security for the premiere, stating that Arjun, his co-star Rashmika Mandanna, and other VIPs would be attending, anticipating a large crowd. The letter was reportedly signed and acknowledged by the Assistant Commissioner of Police. A copy was also sent to Hyderabad traffic police.

Arjun’s lawyer presented the letter in court on Friday. The letter’s existence raises serious questions about the police’s initial investigation and their claim of lack of prior notification.
