**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh – December 13, 2024** – The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a series of raids across Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha, targeting suspected Maoist sympathizers and uncovering a significant supply network supporting the CPI (Maoist) insurgency.

The raids, part of an ongoing investigation into the Maoists’ supply chain, focused on seven individuals linked to the case. The operation followed the recent arrest of two suspects carrying explosives, incriminating literature, and cash. NIA officials seized digital devices and documents during the searches conducted in the Chinturu area of Andhra Pradesh’s Alluri Sitharama Raju district.

According to an NIA statement, the agency, which took over the investigation in September, has uncovered a vast network providing explosives and logistical support to underground Maoist cadres. The NIA alleges that this conspiracy aims to facilitate terrorist acts and attacks, including the targeting of police personnel involved in election duties. The investigation is ongoing.
