Fri Dec 13 01:47:38 UTC 2024: ## Family of Woman Accused in Techie’s Suicide Flees Ahead of Police Action

**Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, December 12, 2024** – The mother-in-law and brother-in-law of Atul Subhash, a 34-year-old techie who died by suicide in Bengaluru on Monday, have fled their home in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. This comes as police in Uttar Pradesh await official communication from Karnataka authorities regarding the case.

Subhash’s death followed allegations of harassment by his estranged wife, Nikita Singhania, and her family. A case has been registered against Singhania, her mother Nisha, father Anurag (also known as Piyush), and uncle Sushil.

According to police reports, Nisha and Anurag left their home in the Khowa Mandi area around 1 a.m. on Thursday. Social media videos appear to corroborate this. Despite this, Jaunpur Superintendent of Police Ajaypal Sharma stated that they haven’t yet received any official communication from Bengaluru Police. Local police have confirmed they have no orders to arrest the fleeing family members.

While the family resides in Jaunpur, Nikita Singhania lives in Delhi with her son. She filed an FIR against Subhash and his family in 2022, alleging dowry harassment. The couple married in April 2019. A police team from Karnataka is reportedly en route to Uttar Pradesh to interrogate the family.
