**Bengaluru:** Madhya Pradesh secured a convincing seven-wicket victory over Delhi in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy semi-final at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium today. Winning the toss and electing to field, Madhya Pradesh restricted Delhi to a modest 146/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Anuj Rawat’s unbeaten 33 (24 balls, 1 six, 3 fours) and Priyansh Arya’s 29 (21 balls, 1 six, 3 fours) were bright spots in Delhi’s otherwise subdued batting performance. Venkatesh Iyer (2/12), Tripuresh Singh, Avesh Khan, and Kumar Kartikeya each claimed a wicket for Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh then chased down the target with ease, reaching 152/3 in just 15.4 overs. Captain Rajat Patidar spearheaded the chase with a breathtaking unbeaten 66 off just 29 balls, smashing six sixes and four fours at a stunning strike rate of 227.59. Harpreet Singh Bhatia provided excellent support with a 46* (38 balls, 2 sixes, 4 fours). Harsh Gaivil also contributed a useful 30 runs. Ishant Sharma (2/xx) and Himanshu Chauhan (1/xx) were the pick of the Delhi bowlers.
Madhya Pradesh will now face Mumbai in the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Mumbai won the first semi-final earlier today.
