**Los Angeles, CA** – Showtime’s hit survival horror series, *Yellowjackets*, returns for its highly anticipated third season on February 14th, and a newly released teaser trailer promises a terrifying continuation of the saga. The trailer, debuted at CCXP2024 in São Paulo, Brazil, opens with a chilling warning: “The past is coming back to hunt.” Images of a cannibalism mask hint at the return of the show’s signature gruesome element.
The series follows two timelines: the teenage Yellowjackets soccer team’s struggle for survival after a plane crash in the wilderness, and their lives 25 years later. Season three’s past timeline picks up where season two left off, showing the starving survivors at their most desperate, with infighting and cannibalism again playing a central role. Sophie Nélisse (young Shauna) is heard lamenting, “I can’t believe we didn’t eat them first.”
The present-day storyline shows the adult survivors, played by Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci, Tawny Cypress, Lauren Ambrose, and Simone Kessell, facing new threats linked to their shared past.
