**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh:** In a surprising political move, Chiranjeevi’s brother, Nagababu Konidela, is set to join Andhra Pradesh’s cabinet as a minister. The announcement was made alongside the declaration of three Rajya Sabha candidates by the ruling coalition.

While Nagababu currently holds no legislative position, the coalition government plans to appoint him to the Legislative Council before swearing him in as a cabinet minister. This appointment will fill a vacancy within the coalition’s power-sharing agreement, with one spot reserved for the Jana Sena Party (JSP), led by Pawan Kalyan, Nagababu’s brother-in-law.

The appointment marks a significant addition to the Konidela family’s political presence. Chiranjeevi previously served as a Union Minister, and Pawan Kalyan currently holds the position of Deputy Chief Minister. This latest development solidifies the family’s considerable influence within Andhra Pradesh politics.

The coalition also announced its Rajya Sabha candidates: Bida Mastan Rao and Sana Satish from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), and R. Krishnayya from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Their nominations are expected to be uncontested.
