Hyderabad: The ongoing feud within the Manchu family has escalated with cross-complaints filed by veteran actor Mohan Babu and his son, Manoj. Mohan Babu has accused Manoj and his wife, Mounika, of plotting to seize his assets and threatening his life, lodging a complaint with Rachakonda police.
Manoj has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them “malicious and untrue,” and a calculated attempt to defame him and his wife. He stated they are financially independent and have not sought financial assistance from the family. He clarified that he has been residing at his father’s house for the past year to support his mother after his brother’s departure to Dubai. Manoj refuted claims of attempting to usurp property and challenged his father to provide evidence. He further accused his father of creating a hostile environment at home.
Manoj’s complaint to Pahadi Sharif police alleges that on February 8th, ten unidentified individuals attacked him at his residence in Jalpalli, Ranga Reddy district, following which he sought medical attention. He also alleges that his seven-month-old daughter has been dragged into the conflict.
Manoj requested the authorities to verify his location through phone tower data, and further alleged financial irregularities and extortion by Vishnu and his associates, Vinay and Maheshwar, against MBBS students, offering to provide evidence to the authorities.
Mohan Babu’s complaint details an alleged incident on February 11th where Manoj and 30 associates allegedly forcefully entered his house, threatened the occupants and attempted to intimidate them into vacating the premises. He claims Manoj and Mounika plan to leave their seven-month-old daughter in the care of a domestic worker.
The police are currently investigating both complaints. The Manchu family feud continues to dominate headlines, raising concerns about the well-being of all involved, particularly the child.
