**Dhaka, Bangladesh –** Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri concluded a high-level visit to Dhaka today, reaffirming India’s commitment to a stable and prosperous Bangladesh. During his visit, Mr. Misri met with Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Foreign Affairs Adviser Md. Touhid Hossain, and Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin.
The meetings focused on strengthening bilateral ties, with Mr. Misri emphasizing India’s support for a democratic, peaceful, and inclusive Bangladesh. Discussions during the Foreign Office Consultations covered a broad range of issues, including border management, trade, energy cooperation, and regional collaborations within frameworks like BIMSTEC. Both sides agreed to increase consultations to foster regional integration.
