NEW DELHI, December 9, 2024 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the dates for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination, December 2024. The exam, which determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships, Assistant Professorships, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges, will be held from February 16-28, 2025, in a computer-based format.

Online applications are open from December 9 to 30, 2024, with the fee payment deadline set for December 31, 2024. A correction window will be available from January 1-2, 2025. The exam will consist of five objective-type test papers covering Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Candidates will have 180 minutes to complete the exam.

The NTA has stressed that only one application per candidate will be accepted, warning of strict action against those submitting multiple forms. Applicants are urged to carefully review the eligibility criteria and details in the information bulletin available on the official website, where online applications must be submitted.
