**KHAMMAM, December 10, 2024** – A 15-year-old Class X student tragically died by suicide after allegedly being scolded by her father for returning home late, police reported. The incident occurred on Monday near Mamillagudem in Khammam, Telangana.
The girl, a resident of Thorrur town in Mahabubabad district, had gone to a nearby shop to buy a pen when she was delayed. Upon her return, a reprimand from her father, a medical representative, reportedly led her to take her own life by jumping in front of a train. She was reportedly on her way to school to take her first-term exams.
Passersby discovered her body on the railway tracks and alerted the Government Railway Police (GRP). The body was transported to the District Headquarters Hospital mortuary.
