**Mumbai, India** – A horrific road accident in Kurla, Mumbai, claimed the lives of three pedestrians and injured at least 20 others late last night. A BEST bus, reportedly due to brake failure, lost control on S.G. Barve Marg near Anjuman Islam School in Kurla (West), around 10:30 PM. The bus plowed into a group of pedestrians and several vehicles.
Emergency responders rushed the injured to Bhaba and Sion hospitals. A staff nurse at Kurla’s Bhaba Hospital confirmed the death toll and the number of injured. A Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official suggested that brake failure may have caused the accident. The bus, route number 332, was driven by a driver who apparently lost control of the vehicle.
