**Agra, India** – A seminar focusing on human rights challenges and solutions will be held in Agra on December 9th, in the lead-up to International Human Rights Day on December 10th. Organized by a collaborative team including the Banke Bihari Educational Society and the Young Advocates Association, the seminar aims to raise awareness among students about human rights.
The event, whose poster launch took place at the Doctor Bhimrao Ambedkar University’s law department, will cover the definition, importance, and challenges related to human rights, including exploitation, violence, and human trafficking. Participants will also learn about access to education and healthcare, and solutions to related issues.
Madan Mohan Sharma, president of the Banke Bihari Educational Society, highlighted the lack of awareness regarding human rights among the populace and the resulting consequences. Nitin Verma, Mandal President of the Young Advocates Association, added that the campaign will guide students on the legal procedures related to human rights violations. The team will also conduct a week-long awareness campaign in schools and colleges across the city. Legal professionals involved in the campaign will provide assistance and address students’ legal queries. The seminar’s coordinators include Dr. Rajiv Verma, Dr. Rajesh Kushwaha, and Prof. Vineeta Singh.
