**KARACHI, PAKISTAN (December 8, 2024)** – At least three Pakistani security personnel were killed in a series of attacks across Balochistan province on Saturday, December 6th and Sunday, December 8th, highlighting the ongoing instability in the region.

In the first incident, terrorists launched a prolonged assault on a Frontier Corps check-post near a coal mine in Duki district. Using rockets, grenades, and heavy firearms, they killed two soldiers and wounded three more. While security forces returned fire, the exact casualties on the attackers’ side remain unknown.

A second attack targeted a Pakistan Coast Guards patrol near a lighthouse in Gwadar’s Jiwani town. Militants detonated an improvised explosive device (IED), resulting in the death of one Coast Guard personnel.

Adding to the escalating tensions, unidentified individuals set fire to a monument near the historic Miri Fort in Kalat, causing significant damage and destroying two statues. The arson attack on the monument, a symbol of Baloch culture, has drawn widespread condemnation from local residents.
