Mon Dec 09 09:03:12 UTC 2024: ## Andhra Pradesh High Court Grants Bail to Accused in Bollywood Actress’ Case

**Vijayawada, December 9, 2024** – Kukkala Vidyasagar, the main accused (A-1) in a forgery and extortion case involving Bollywood actress Kadambari Jethwani, was granted bail by Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar of the Andhra Pradesh High Court today. Vidyasagar was arrested earlier this year following a complaint filed by Ms. Jethwani with the Vijayawada city police.

The case alleges that Vidyasagar, along with several police officers – IPS officers P.S.R. Anjaneyulu, Kanthi Rana Tata, and Vishal Gunni, among others – falsified a case against the Mumbai-based actress. These officers are accused of violating the All India Services (Conduct) Rules during the arrest.

A previous attempt by Mr. Vidyasagar to quash the remand order was rejected by another High Court judge. The bail granted today marks a significant development in the ongoing case.
