**Los Angeles, CA** – The 2025 Golden Globe Awards nominations were announced Monday, with Jacques Audiard’s Netflix musical “Emilia Pérez” leading the pack with an impressive 10 nominations. The film, which premiered at Cannes, received nods in major categories including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Director (Audiard), and Best Actress (Karla Sofia Gascón), as well as recognition for its supporting actresses (Zoe Saldana and Selena Gomez), screenplay, and original score.
Close behind with 7 nominations is Brady Corbet’s A24 drama “The Brutalist,” which garnered nominations for Best Motion Picture – Drama, along with acting nods for leads Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones, and supporting actor Guy Pearce. The film also received recognition for its score and screenplay.
Ralph Fiennes’ performance in Focus Features’ “Conclave” earned him a Best Actor nomination, while his co-star Isabella Rossellini received a supporting actress nod. “Conclave” also secured nominations for Best Motion Picture – Drama, score, and screenplay.
Other films receiving multiple nominations include “Anora,” “Challengers,” “A Real Pain,” Universal’s “Wicked,” and the surprise contender, Coralie Fargeat’s “The Substance,” which received four nominations including Best Director.
Several actors received multiple nominations. Sebastian Stan is nominated for Best Actor in both a musical/comedy (“A Different Man”) and a drama (“The Apprentice”), while Kate Winslet earned nominations for both a film and a television role. Selena Gomez was nominated for her roles in “Emilia Pérez” and “Only Murders in the Building.”
On the television side, Hulu’s “The Bear” dominated with five nominations, including Best Television Series – Drama.
