**NEW DELHI** – The Indian government has appointed Sanjay Malhotra, currently the Revenue Secretary, as the new Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Malhotra will succeed Shaktikanta Das, whose term ends tomorrow. He is scheduled to assume office on the 11th of this month and will serve a three-year term.
