**KOCHI, December 8, 2024** – Two first-grade students from Lakshadweep drowned on Sunday while on a family picnic to Bangaram Island. Mohammed Favad and Admed Sahan Syed, students of JB School in Agatti, reportedly ventured into the sea to retrieve a ball and were unable to return to shore. Their bodies were later recovered. The incident occurred while the families were enjoying a picnic outing.
