The news comes after four seasons with the Panthers, during which he held various roles, from backup to starter, showcasing resilience and toughness despite facing injuries and shifting team dynamics.
Yarnell, who arrived at Pitt in 2021, has played in 15 games, starting five. He leaves with a record of 2-3 as a starter, boasting impressive statistics: 149 completions out of 273 attempts (65.6%), 1,846 yards, 15 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He earned his bachelor’s degree in political science before the 2024 season and has two years of eligibility remaining.
