**Hyderabad, India** – Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna’s “Pushpa: The Rule” continues its phenomenal box office run, shattering records just days into its release. The action drama, directed by Sukumar, has already surpassed the lifetime global collection of its predecessor, “Pushpa: The Rise,” in just two days.
According to early estimates by Sacnilk.com, the film raked in approximately ₹115 crore net in India on its third day alone, bringing its three-day total to an estimated ₹398.77 crore net domestically. Worldwide, the film’s collection soared past ₹550 crore by Day 3, having already crossed ₹400 crore on Day 2 and ₹290 crore on Day 1. This marks the biggest opening day in Indian cinema history, surpassing even “RRR.”
The film’s regional breakdown on Day 3 shows strong performances across languages: ₹31.5 crore in Telugu, ₹73.5 crore in Hindi, ₹7.5 crore in Tamil, ₹0.8 crore in Kannada, and ₹1.7 crore in Malayalam. Despite a 45% drop on Day 2, “Pushpa 2” witnessed a 22% increase in collections on Day 3.
“Pushpa 2” also achieved the biggest overseas opening for an Indian film in 2024, beating “Kalki 2898 AD.” The film’s success has set new records for Allu Arjun, Sukumar, and Rashmika Mandanna across domestic, overseas, and global openings.
Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude to the audience for the film’s success, but also acknowledged the tragic death of a fan in a stampede at a Hyderabad theater. He expressed his condolences and pledged support to the victim’s family.
Netflix has announced that “Pushpa 2: The Rule” will be available for streaming post-theatrical release in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. Meanwhile, Quick commerce platform Blinkit is offering ₹200 vouchers for movie tickets with purchases over ₹999.
