**HYDERABAD, INDIA** – Allu Arjun’s *Pushpa: The Rule* has defied expectations, shattering box office records and amassing a staggering ₹600 crore globally within its first three days of release. The film, a sequel to the wildly successful *Pushpa: The Rise*, surpassed its predecessor’s lifetime earnings by day three, demonstrating the immense power of its pan-India appeal.
The film’s phenomenal opening saw it rake in ₹282.91 crore globally on day one, beating previous opening day records held by *RRR* and *Baahubali*. While day two saw a slight dip in the domestic market, the overall global collections soared past ₹400 crore. Day three added another ₹115 crore domestically, solidifying its position as a box office juggernaut.
The Hindi version has been a key driver of *Pushpa 2*’s success, contributing a remarkable ₹200.7 crore (52%) of the ₹383 crore domestic total over the three-day period. The Hindi version alone on day three contributed ₹73.5 crore, dwarfing the Telugu version’s ₹31.5 crore. Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada versions contributed smaller but still significant amounts. Surprisingly, the Malayalam market, previously considered a strong revenue source, performed below expectations.
The film’s success highlights the importance of the Hindi market for South Indian films aiming for massive box office numbers. With several records already broken, including the biggest opening for any Indian film and the largest opening for a Hindi film, industry analysts predict *Pushpa 2* will soon cross the ₹1000 crore mark.
Directed by Sukumar and featuring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil, *Pushpa 2* boasts a budget of ₹400 crore and a soundtrack by Devi Sri Prasad and Sam CS. The film’s massive success comes amidst a year where many highly anticipated films have underperformed.
