Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced a state-wide pulse polio campaign targeting 16 districts from December 8th to 16th. The campaign aims to prevent the crippling disease, with CM Yadav emphasizing that the vaccine is the only effective preventative measure. He lauded the collaborative efforts of public representatives, government departments, health workers, and self-help groups in achieving India’s decade-long polio-free status. The 16 districts included in the campaign are Bhind, Bhopal, Chhindwara, Datia, Gwalior, Indore, Katni, Khargone, Mandsaur, Narsinghpur, Neemuch, Niwari, Satna, Sheopur, Tikamgarh, and Vidisha.

CM Yadav also reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2018 pledge to eliminate Tuberculosis (TB) in India. He urged the public to participate in the 100-Day Intensified Campaign targeting 347 districts nationwide, including 23 in Madhya Pradesh (Alirajpur, Anuppur, Betul, Chhatarpur, Chhindwara, Damoh, Datia, Dindori, Jabalpur, Katni, Khandwa, Mandla, Mandsaur, Narsinghpur, Neemuch, Ratlam, Sehore, Seoni, Sheopur, Sidhi, Singrauli, Ujjain, and Vidisha). He stressed that TB is a curable disease and encouraged early identification and treatment.
