Sun Dec 08 15:21:59 UTC 2024: ## Modi to Inaugurate Rajasthan Investment Summit, Launch LIC Women’s Initiative in Haryana

**Jaipur/Panipat, India –** Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a two-state tour on Monday, beginning with the inauguration of the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024 in Jaipur. The summit, themed “Replete, Responsible, Ready,” will run from December 9th to 11th and feature participation from over 32 countries and 20 international organizations. Discussions will focus on key sectors including water security, sustainable mining, and women-led startups. The accompanying Rajasthan Global Business Expo will showcase various thematic pavilions.

Following the Rajasthan events, PM Modi will travel to Panipat, Haryana, where he will launch the Life Insurance Corporation of India’s (LIC) “Bima Sakhi Yojana.” This initiative aims to empower women aged 18-70 with a minimum of a 10th-grade education by providing them with specialized training and a stipend for three years to become LIC agents. Successful participants may even qualify for Development Officer roles within LIC. Modi will also distribute appointment certificates to prospective Bima Sakhis.

The Prime Minister’s Haryana visit will also include laying the foundation stone for the main campus of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University in Karnal. The campus will house a graduate and postgraduate college of horticulture and five schools covering ten horticulture disciplines.
